"THE VILLAGE BLACKSMITH" print or notecard (PR39)
Hoosier Blacksmith T.J. Wilder, the inspiration for this work, spent many years in the pioneer village at Spring Mill State Park, Mitchell, Indiana, heating, hammering, bending and twisting metal.
T.J. enjoyed adding his own ornamentation to items he created. He was a gifted craftsman, also making fiddles and furniture. If he wasn't at the blacksmith's forge, he could be found in the village woodworking shop.
T.J. volunteered in the village until shortly before his death at the age of 78.
Unframed, unmatted, signed giclee print of an original oil painting by Mitchell, Indiana, artist Janet C. Foster. Printed on watercolor paper. Available in 2 print sizes, and notecards (with envelope.) Shown matted and framed for illustration only.
