"SUNLIT ALLEY" print or notecard (PR34)

A typical entryway in Gaeta, on Italy's west coast, has been lovingly decorated by its residents with flowers and lush green plants.

This painting was inspired by a photo I took during a trip to Italy in 2010. Gaeta is one of Italy's oldest towns, dating back to the time of Christ. I was impressed with the care with which folks decorated their window boxes and entryways. I saw few homes with yards, but folks seemed to take great pride in personalizing and adorning their balconies and windows.
