"MONON DEPOT, 1930'S - BEDFORD, IN" print or notecard (PR23)
Engine #535 sits waiting on the track as riders hurry to catch the 11:40 a.m. to points south from the Monon station in 1930's Bedford, Indiana.
The 'Monon Railroad' was a regional company that operated in Indiana. When I was a child, mom would let us take little train rides from this station in our hometown of Bedford, to the next stop south, which was the town of Mitchell.
She would pick us up at the end of our "journey," and we'd be so excited, we'd talk about our adventure for the rest of the day!
*Unframed, unmatted, signed giclee print of an original oil painting by Mitchell, Indiana artist Janet C. Foster. Printed on watercolor paper. Available in 2 print sizes, and notecard (with envelope.) Print is shown matted and framed for illustration only.
