"EVENING RIDE IN THE VILLAGE" print or notecard (PR12)
In the winter, the horse and sleigh would have been a chilly, yet sometimes pleasant, means of transportation.
The sky glows in pastel hues as a couple passes the grist mill, the hub of the village., in a 'one-horse open sleigh.'
The mill, built in 1817, still grinds cornmeal today. The village was a bustling center of commerce in the 1800's. This snow scene is set in Spring Mill State Park.
*Unframed, unmatted, signed giclee print of an original oil painting by Mitchell, Indiana artist Janet C. Foster. Printed on watercolor paper.
Available in 2 print sizes, and notecards (with envelope.) Print is shown matted and framed for illustration only.
